This course defines and discusses the lymphatic system in the human body and the major lymph nodes in the neck and face. It will also depict an overview of the history of the lymphatic system and it's founders. You will learn when to provide lymphatic drainage and the technique involved, indications of lymphatic drainage, technique, contraindications of lymphatic drainage, and the ins-and-outs of lymphoma.
 
This portion will be taken in class between fellow enrollees....In addition, you will also learn how to perform compression therapy and lymphatic drainage on the following body regions: lower extremities, upper extremities, axillary regions, back, foot and ankle, knee, sternum, wrist and hand, and the abdominal region.
 
In addition, you will be taking the Medical Terminology course online. Medical Terminology is the language of medicine. As a massage therapist you will need to understand the anatomy of medical terms and the roots, prefixes, and suffixes that compose medical terms. In this section you will be introduced to the roots associated with the various organ systems of the body and you will be given several opportunities to practice your new language.
 
To complete your 24 CEU hour requirements, you will be taking the 6 mandatory CEUs, which are included FREE in this package online. The Florida Laws and Rules course defines and discusses the laws and rules of Florida that pertain to the massage profession. The Massage Ethics course discusses ethical considerations in the massage industry, emphasizing communication, codes of conduct, and safety in the workplace. The Medical Errors course discusses how to make health care safer in the massage industry. This course highlights the issues we need to be aware of dealing with health care and its many components.

Course Prerequisites
During the hands on portion of the class we recommend wearing face masks.  
Must be 18 years old
Massage Liscense required
Come to class dressed professionally
Bring clean twin sheets (both flat and fitted), and a thin twin blanket if possible
